Valeri V. Souchkov Valeri Souchkov engaged to innovation-related activities by co-founding Invention Machine Labs in 1989, which was called as “one of the most innovative companies of the USA” by Fortune magazine in 1999. In 1993-1998 he worked as a researcher at Twente University in Enschede, the Netherlands in a joint project with Invention Machine Corp., exploring application of Artificial Intelligence to automate invention. In 1998-2001 he co-founded several companies to promote TRIZ and systematic innovation worldwide. He pioneered public training in TRIZ and Systematic Innovation in Central and Western Europe in 1995 as well as initiated studies on adapting TRIZ to business innovation. In 2000, he was a co-founder and Executive Board Member of the European TRIZ Association (ETRIA, www.etria.eu), which introduced the annual global conference TRIZ Future. Since 2003, Valeri heads ICG Training & Consulting located in Enschede, the Netherlands. He is also an invited lecturer on TRIZ and Systematic Innovation at the University of Twente (Enschede, The Netherlands. www.utwente.nl) and TIAS Business School (Tilburg, the Netherlands, www.tias.nl). In 2018 he founded and now chairs IBTA - the International Business TRIZ Association (www.biztriz.net). Since 2022 Valeri Souchkov plays different roles in the International TRIZ Official Association - MATRIZ Official (www.matriz-official.net). Currently he is Vice President and Board Member of MATRIZ Official. Valeri Souchkov performed over 450 training workshops on TRIZ and Systematic Innovation where he trained over 7000 professionals and students from over 60 countries. He assisted over 150 innovative projects in diverse industries to help customer companies to solve most challenging innovative issues to develop breakthrough products and business strategies. He also advised top management of several multinational corporations on the best practices of implementing systematic innovation. His training courses were licensed and have been taught at a number of universities and organizations worldwide. Among his customers are major multinational companies such as ABN AMRO Bank, ASML, BMW, Campina, Danone, Capgemini, General Electric, Fujifilm, ING Bank, LG, Nexperia, Oracle, PepsiCo, Philips, Samsung, Shell, Siemens, Unilever as well as government and international agencies including Royal Dutch Navy, Ministry of Economics of the Netherlands, UN Development Program, and so forth. In total his list of delivered training, consulting and coaching projects includes over 550 customer organizations. Valeri Souchkov developed several systematic innovation techniques. The technique Root Conflict Analysis (RCA+) for analysis of innovative problems and challenges developed by him was adopted by a number of Fortune 500 companies, including Samsung. The other techniques such as Multi-Screen Analysis and Value-Conflict Mapping are actively used to enhance engineering and business innovation. He authored and co-authored 4 books, 8 courses and over 100 conference and journal publications on TRIZ and Systematic Innovation (www.xtriz.com/publications). He is editor of proceedings of international TRIZ conferences. Valeri Souchkov was certified as TRIZ Specialist by G. Altshuller in 1991 and was awarded the TRIZ Master (Level 5) degree for his considerable contribution to the development of TRIZ by the International TRIZ Association (MATRIZ) in 2013. He holds M.Sc. degree
in computer science and engineering from Belarus State University of
Informatics and Electronics. Valeri is master of fencing. |
